Introducing Carpé Diem Gourmet & Fine Dining Restaurant and Champagne Bar set in the amazing location of the Harbourside in Bristol. Our Ethical & Ecological Beliefs
Whilst we will not compromise the Excellence of Quality and taste of our food; we ensure a balanced Holistic approach. We are very proud of making our food a gourmet delight for your palate; as at our award winning sister restaurant, the Michelin rated Curlew the entire menu is homemade, including fresh baked bread & pastries, delicious ice cream and even our hand cut chips. Our dishes are based on recipes from around the world and made from the finest ingredients. Also, we are commended by professional bodies such as the American Heart Association for using low trans-fats, low sodium and no artificial preservatives or colourings in the preparation of our food. We live by our ethical beliefs that great food is produced when our ingredients are grown naturally and, where available in quality and quantity, organically. Our dairy products and meat are from animals that are free range and live their life with dignity; hence, you will not find Foie Gras or Veal on our menu.

Our sustainability policy
Carpé Diem was built to a vision of a Carbon and Nitrates neutral footprint. The equipment used to cook, light and heat are built to energy efficiencies approaching 95%. This means less waste of precious energy and less harmful emissions. Our furniture is made with wood from sustainable forests, and for every tree used in production four were re-planted. It is planned that our entire electric system will be run using Solar Powered energy. In fact this will be connected to the National Grid enabling others to benefit from 'green', renewable energy. Our toilets work on a intelligent water conservation system, calculating minimum water usage whilst maintaining a hygienic & fresh environment. All our glass, cardboard, paper, and waste oil is recycled, NOT put into landfills.

Our coffee and teas are fair-trade, and Rain-Forest sustaining. It's blended specially for us by Carwardine's of Bristol. Additionally, we work closely with our suppliers to ensure that more than 50% 0f our menu has a carbon footprint of less than 50 miles. Great food really does not need to cost the Earth!

Energise your day with Breakfast. Whether you choose a homemade croissant or Danish, served with Rain Forest friendly coffee, or a Carpé Diem cooked breakfast, or just toast made from our own baked bread and freshly squeezed orange juice, you are sure to get you day off to flying start. Lunch at Carpé Diem caters for those who want great food in a hurry or have time on their hands. If you are on a tight time budget, choose Caesar salad or Fish & Chips or our famous Sausage & Mash or any number of items from our all day Light Dining menu. For a more leisurely lunch, you have a choice of our Tablé D'Hôte and À Là Carte Menus.

After-work don't rush off, instead kick back, wind down and chill out. Have a cocktail or share a bottle of wine and Tapas with friends. Dinner, the social event of the day. Relax in the opulence and comfort of our lounge, sip a cocktail or a glass of Champagne, whilst browsing our menu. Nibble on a canapé or two, whilst reading through our wine list of over a 100 wines, none of which grace the shelves of any supermarket in the UK. Choose whether you dine in the restaurant, where you would sit at a table laid with linen cloths, bone china plates, fine crystal glasses and Guy Dégrène cutlery, or continue relaxing in the comfort of your armchair.
